Finlay  Johnson took the new look Chalfont team to Spikesbridge Park to play their third pre-season friendly against Edgware Town.

It was a slow start for the Saints conceding a goal after 11 minutes but they managed to put their game together and scored four goals before half time.

The first came from Luke Jones on 17 minutes then Dave Pitts scored twice on 26 and 30 minutes.

Sean Giordmaina added a fourth three minutes before the break.

Finlay made numerous changes in the second period giving the balance of the squad and some trialists a chance to shine but the scoreline remained the same.

Tweeting after the game, manager Finlay Johnson said "We’re getting there, little by little. Didn’t feel we got out of second gear, tempo must be raised. Nice to be playing these games but some time on the training pitch is due!"
