HAREFIELD UNITED (0) 1 CHALFONT ST PETER (0) 4

Saints scorers Terrell Lewis 2 51m & 87m

Daniel Hughes 54m, Adam Louth 82m

Chalfont won comfortably on Harefield prize winning pitch but

it wasn't as easy as the score sounds.

The first half was largely a stalemate with neither sides

dominating the match.

The second half changed when Terrell scored a typical

Lewis goal six minutes into the period. Daniel Hughes

showed what a skipper should do and added to the score

three minutes later.

This should have made things easier for the Saints but a

comeback goal for the Hares nearly turned things quite nasty.

with several chances going begging.

Things improved dramatically when first Adam Louth and

then Terrell, with his second, stretched the lead in the last

8 minutes.

CHALFONT ST PETER (1) 2 KENTISH TOWN (0) 0

 Adam Louth 2 22m, 88m

from our correspondent Nigel Orr (!!)

Man of the match (by a country mile) Adam Louth grabbed

a brace to secure Saints all the points in this tight encounter.

Kentish Town surprised everyone with a strong performance

which included many changes from the expected squad.

With a fair amount of end to end attacking it was an Adam

Louth's touch from an excellent Terrell Lewis centre that put

Saints into the lead.

The second half carried on in the same vain with both side

having good chances to score but heroic defending kept

things at bay.

As the clock passed the 91st minute hero Louthy scored

an superb second goal.

F.A. CUP
PRELIMINARY ROUND

 BURNHAM (1) 2  CHALFONT ST PETER (0) 1
Saints scorer: Terrell Lewis 67m

Saints suffer their first defeat of the season but oh what might
have been if they had taken the chances they created.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd can rest comfortably tonight
as Saints went out of the cup in the preliminary round.

Burnham started well for the first 10 minutes but Saints
gradually got going and when it look as if only they could
score Burnham's Ryan Bird hit the net in long ball move
from their defence.

Saints toiled without success during the rest of the half and
seven minutes into the second half  Mr Bird struck again
to put Burham 2 up.

Most of the rest of the second half was dominated by
Chalfont and Terrell Lewis scored when put through with
a great pass from skipper Hughes.

Two great chances fell to Saints in the dying minutes but
it was not to be.

The reserves suffered their second defeat of the season at
home to Cove 2-1.

Oxhey Jets 1  Saints 6 (Molten Spartan Premier Division)

Saints soared past Oxhey on Tuesday and landed on top of the table with a crushing display that condemned the hosts to bottom place.

Goals from Jimmy Froud and Adamson Ajayi had Saints clear inside half an hour and although Louis Puckman pulled one back for Oxhey after an hour, the final result was never in doubt.

A flurry of goals in the last 10 minutes provided the icing on the cake as Barry Brosnan grabbed a pair with Jude Eboyi and Terrell Lewis rounding off the half dozen for a very successful evening's work.
